Thomas Luther ??Tommy? Britt, age 64, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was born in Robeson County on January 12, 1947 to the late John Horace Britt, Sr. and Eva Baxley Britt. He loved Fishing, the Carolina Tarheels and Wrestling. He was a member of the NC AAAD National Champion Softball Team in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Britt is survived by two daughters, Blondell S. Sullivan and Candace Britt; one brother, Horace Britt and wife, Kay C. Britt of Aiken, SC; one sister, Cathy Lewis and husband, Murray Lewis of Lumberton, NC; two nieces, Angela Johns and Gina Quarles, both of Edgefield, SC; three nephews, Tony Britt of Aiken, SC, Tim Lewis of Whiteville, NC and Andy Lewis of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren; eight great-nephews, seven great-nieces, one great-great-niece; and special friends, Georgia Lewis and the crew at Lee??s Service Center in Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at 2:00PM. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
