Therley Mae Locklear Scott, age 83, of Rowland, NC, entered into her forever home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1942 to the late Belton & Aline Godwin Locklear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Scott; her infant son, Harold; her siblings: Frank Godwin, Fletcher, Belton "Buddy" Locklear, Jr., Joyce Locklear, and Iris Freeman; and an infant great-grandson, Dakota Bartley.

Therley is survived by three sons: Clarence "Freddy" Scott and James Scott (Lyle), both of Lumberton, NC, and Alton Scott (Mary Ann) of the home; three daughters: Mary Alene Hunt, Penny Pittman (Danny), and Carrie Branch (Randy), all of Lumberton, NC; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

She loved her family gatherings and praising the Lord. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Kingdom Place, 2610 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
