Mrs. Theresa Kay Locklear, age 58, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 7, 1962 to the late James Russell Hunt and the late Emma Locklear. She was employed with Kinder World Daycare Center.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Rufus Revels; a brother, Danny James Locklear; a sister, Tammy Locklear; and a sister-in-law, Tonya Ann Hunt.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Len Carter of the home; two sons, Ricco Devone Locklear and wife Danielle and Ricky Allen Locklear, all of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, LaSandra Marie Locklear of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Pete Hunt of Rennert, NC; a sister, Carol Locklear of Lumberton, NC; and three half-sisters: Phelma Locklear, Maggie Locklear, and Minnie Locklear, all of Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Refuge Pentecostal Church, 1390 Linkhaw Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Holiness Church Cemetery, 1239 J.R. Road in Maxton, NC.
