Theresa "Terry" Yvonne Barnes, age 64, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 16, 1953 to the late Wayne Rudolph and Virginia Charvat Barnes.  For 35 years she was the 911 operator for the City of Lumberton.

Ms. Barnes is survived by her daughter, Amber Barnes of the home; a brother, Kenneth Barnes (Peggy) of Spanish Fort, AL; a sister, Luana Phillips (Jim) of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Rick Phillips, David Delaney, Ashleigh Deese, and Kenny Barnes; as a special best friend, Deborah Dunn of Lumberton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rodney Evers officiating.  A time for visitation with family and friends will follow the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
