Thelma Jean Owens Reeves, age 81, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Marion County, SC on December 7, 1930 to the late John A. Owens and Myrtle Horne Owens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edison Reeves, Sr. and her brother, John Alexander Owens.

Mrs. Reeves is survived by three sons, Ralph Edison Reeves, Jr. of Washington, DC, Mark Kimball Reeves and wife, Tari of Raeford, NC, and Keith Reeves and wife, Billie of St. Pauls, NC; one daughter, Thelma Jean Reeves of Loris, SC; four brothers, Willard Owens and Carroll Owens, both of Nichols, SC and Ernest Owens and Terry Owens, both of Galivants Ferry, SC; two sisters, Ora Mae Jackson of Mullins, SC and Elizabeth Oliver of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Amanda Bartley, Ashley Myers, Alexandrea Reeves and William Stanford Spivey; three great-grandchildren, Cadance Myers, Ashton Spivey and Ashlynn Spivey.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00AM at Rozier Baptist Church in Lumberton. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
