Tessie Pridgen Kinlaw, age 92, died at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC on Saturday, December 5, 2009. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 15, 1917 to Rufus and Rosa Pridgen. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Alex Kinlaw; a son, Joe Alex Kinlaw, Jr. and a grandson, Gerald Kinlaw.

She was a homemaker, retired from the Robeson County School System as a food service manager at Smith\\chr(39)s School, a member of Zion\\chr(39)s Hill Baptist Church and the \\"Believers\\" Sunday School class.

She is survived by two sons, Jerome Kinlaw and wife, Vera of Lumberton, NC, Danny Kinlaw and wife, Judy of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, Cindy Collins of Lumberton, NC, Gregory Kinlaw of Raleigh, NC, Terry Kinlaw of Lumberton, NC, Dennis Kinlaw of Lumberton, NC and Jennifer Kinlaw of Raleigh, NC; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Kinlaw, Taylor Kinlaw, Allison Kinlaw, Katie Kinlaw and Paige Kinlaw; and a sister, Aileen Patience of TN.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
