Mr. Melton "Terry" Taylor, age 76, of Fairmont, NC departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022 surrounded by his family and loving wife of 55 years in Lumberton, NC. He was born December 18, 1945 in Robeson County, NC.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Isiah "Buddy' Taylor, Sr. and Cora Ethel Jacobs Taylor; granddaughter, Tamisha Taylor; three brothers, Edgar "Doc" Taylor, Isiah "Junior" Taylor, and T.R. Taylor; and one sister, Cora Lee Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret L. Taylor of the home; three sons, Timothy Taylor, Donald Taylor and Chris Taylor; two grandchildren, Telisa Carter (Jason) and Ryan Taylor; one brother, Melvin Taylor (Lisa), and a host of family and friends.

He worked for Converse Rubber Co. for 42 years and for the state of North Carolina for 10 years. His passion was taking care of his family and maintaining his beautiful yard and being out doors. He was a loving husband, amazing father and grandfather. He was also a great provider who loved his family. Everyone knew his grandchildren were the "sunshine in his life".

A visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 2:00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont. A funeral service will follow at 3:00PM in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will be in Lumbee Memorial Gardens 774 Moss Neck Rd. Lumberton, NC.
