Ted Hurschell Taylor, age 78, of Lumberton passed away at his home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. Ted was born in Robeson County on May 1, 1946 to the late Curley and Leola Parnell Taylor. In addition to his parents Ted was predeceased in death by his sister; Edith Melvin, brothers; Dewey Carson, Infant brother, Thomas, Curley Jr., J.P, and Cecil and Clyde.

Ted retired from the US Postal Service after over 25 years of service. He loved his hobby of photography. Ted served his country in the US Army.

Ted leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Ann Doris Rogers Taylor; a daughter, Ginger Bailey and husband Kenny of Fairmont, NC; a grandson, Chad Bailey of Fairmont, NC; his niece and caregiver, Frances Bryan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th St, Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in the Speights Family Cemetery.
