Tana Melissa Byrd, age 46, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on February 19, 1963 to the late Eugene Byrd and Fodie Herring Byrd. She worked for the Elkay Company.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Timmy Byrd.

Ms. Byrd is survived by her mother, Fodie Herring Byrd; two brothers, Kenneth Byrd and wife Patricia of Boiling Springs, NC and Tommy Byrd of Fayetteville, NC; four sisters, Peggy Spencer of Richmond, KY, Janet Townsend, Sue Hicks and Mary Jo Bruce and husband, Charlie all of Lumberton, NC; many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at West Lumberton Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Glenn Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, February 17, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
