Mrs. Tammy Marie Chavis, 45, of 6461 Wire Grass Road, Orrum, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at McLeaod Medical Center of Florence, SC. She was born June 11, 1968 in Scotland County. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Malachi Chavis; a brother, Adam Hudson; step-son, Steven Locklear; and her mother-in-law, Rosie Miller. Tammy is survived by her husband, Dannie Chavis, of the home; her son, Bryan Chavis, of Lumberton; two daughters, Amanda Chavis, of Orrum, and Danielle Chavis, of the home; her parents, Charles and Barbara Hudson, of Orrum; her brother, Kelly Hudson, of Charlotte; her sister, Donna Walters, of Raleigh; her son-in-law, Khan Moore, of Orrum; and six grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services of Fairmont. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Benson Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Benson Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
