Tami Strickland Russ, age 54, of Lumberton passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home. Tami was born in Robeson County on July 18, 1970 to the late R. C. Strickland and Barbara Strickland Smith.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Emily Strickland Bullock; brother; Stevie Strickland; and mother-in-law, Carrie Russ.

Tami loved trips to the beach and mountains. She treasured time with her family and was known as the one who took care of everybody. She was an accountant with various companies but most recently with Farmers Furniture of Lumberton.

Tami is survived by her husband, Thomas Russ, Jr. of the home; mother, Barbara Strickland Smith, brother; Tim Strickland; sisters-in-law: Jan Strickland, Lisa Strickland, Janice Russ, and Peggy Britt; nieces and nephews: Summer Broadway, Heather Cox, Morgan Walters, Scott Strickland, Alexis Moore, Brandon Ivey, and Trey Ivey; and a host of great-nieces and -nephews and father-in-law, Thomas Russ, Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 3:00 pm at New Life Church, 3990 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC. Visitation will be held prior to the service Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at New Life Church, 3990 Fayetteville Rd, Lumberton, NC. Burial will foll the service at New Hollywood Cemetery, Lumberton, NC.
