Ms. Sylvia Alita Hunt Cummings, age 38, of Pembroke passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

She was born October 2, 1987 in Robeson.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Michael Hunt; her paternal grandparents, Datris "Doc" Hunt and Queen Ester Hunt.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Tobias Harold Cumings and Oliver Michael Cummings of the home; her husband, Timothy Cummings of Lumberton; her mother, Teresa Locklear (Darrell Parker) of Goose Creek, SC; one brother, Alan Matthew Hunt (RJ Lambert) of San Diego Ca.; three sisters, Queen Hunt (Justin Stubbs) and Deanna Locklear both of Lumberton and Michelle Hunt of Fairmont; her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Clementine Locklear of Lumberton; three nephews, Bryce, Mason and Ian; a niece, Queen; a special friend, Dennis Freeman of Dillon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. The funeral will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 PM.

Burial will follow at New Point Baptist Church Cemetery, 3410 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Lumberton, NC  28358.
