Susan Pate Johnson, of Lumberton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday April 7, 2026, surrounded by love.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Thomas Pate, and her grandmother, Eunice Thomas. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 55 years, Jack Johnson; her children, Sharon Daughtry (Kenneth), Chad Johnson (Candice), and Zachary Johnson; her brothers, Ricky Pate and Tommy Pate; and her cherished granddaughters, Brianna Bondurant, Caroline Daughtry, and Danielle Daughtry. Susan's family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in each of them.

Susan will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of warmth, faith, and family.

A memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Long Branch Baptist Church in Lumberton.
