Elvia Sue Scott, 81, of Orrum, NC, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at her son's home surrounded by family. She was born in Robeson County, NC on June 14, 1941 to the late Stinson & Grace Branch. She spent her career caring for others as a nursing assistant until retirement.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles F. Coleman; her brother, Tommy Branch; her sister-in-law, Janice Branch; and her great-grandson, Cainin Davidson.

She is survived by her husband, Carey Scott of Fair Bluff, NC; her children: Johnny Coleman (Tammy and Kirby Coleman (Rebecca), both of Lumberton, NC, and Susan Boger (Mark) of Sanford, NC; her stepchildren, Arnold Scott (Suzanne) of Barnesville, NC and Dickie Scott (Ivey) of Fair Bluff, NC; her grandchildren: Angela Tyler (Carlos) of Fairmont, NC, Deanna Durden of Ellerbe, NC, Kayce Parker (Johnathan) of Broadway, NC, Danielle Coleman (Tron Brooks) of Lumberton, NC, Corey Prevatte (Nikki) of Fairmont, NC, Megan Scott (Arron) of Lumberton, NC, Aulbernie Coleman of Lumberton, NC, and Macey Chavis (Aubrey) of Red Springs, NC; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dennis Branch (Ann) and Randy Branch (Carrie), both of Lumberton, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Johnny Coleman & Charles Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
