Mrs. Sue Smith Perry, age 85, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, NC. She was born in Lincoln County on October 3, 1927 the late Thomas Lester and Bertha Dillinger Smith. She was formerly employed as a secretary for Southern Bell Telephone Company. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Glover Perry, Sr., a brother, Hugh Smith, and a sister, Thelma Pridgen, and a step-grandson, Zac Smullen. She is survived by one son, Lew Perry and wife, Amy, of Charlotte, two grandchildren, Sid Smullen, of Charlotte, and Meredith Cochran and husband, Taylor, of Chattanooga, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
