Sue Prevatte Bruce, 73, of Lumberton, NC died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House. She was born on May 27, 1936 to the late Numa and Emma Barnes Prevatte in Robeson County, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Linda Sue Bruce and Jennifer Bruce.

She is survived by her husband, John Knox Bruce, Sr. of the home; two sons, John Knox Bruce, Jr. and wife, Gail and Joey Bruce and wife, Debbie; two daughters, Dianne B. Freeman and husband, Bernie and Patty B. Parnell and husband, Randy all of Lumberton; three sisters, Maxine Hilliker and husband, Jim of Port Richey, FL, Josephine Terry and husband, Bill of Hudson, FL and Emma (??Toots?) Seigal and husband, Bill of Corunna, MI.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at 2:00PM with Rev. Jeff Mitchell and Rev. Tim Tyner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
