Strange Edward Fields ??Jiggs?, 59, of Evergreen, NC died on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 13, 1952 to Strange Kenneth Fields and Ruth Ward Fields. He worked for the NC Department of Transportation.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorinda Pait Fields.

Mr. Fields is survived by his sons, Duane Fields and wife Sonya of Evergreen, Keith Fields of Raleigh and Andrew Fields of Evergreen; a sister, Martha Ella Moore of Evergreen; and four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Gary Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
