Stoney McNeill, 54, of 350 Mud Alley Road, Lumberton, NC departed this life January 31, 2009. He was born in Scotland County, NC on November 30, 1954 the 5th child of the late Rev. June McNeill and Sister Bertie McNeill.
He leaves behind to mourn him his wife, Wanda McNeill of the home; 2 sons, Robert Earl McNeill and Dustin McNeill of Lumberton, NC; 4 sisters, Sherry Mangum, Janifer McNeill and Kayal McNeill all of Lumberton, NC and Gwendolyn Starling of Dunn, NC; 3 brothers, Rudy Lee McNeill of Asheville, NC, June McNeill, Jr. and John Paul Oxendine both of Lumberton, NC; daughter-in-law, Adrian McNeill; 5
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
He was an extremely musically talented man. He loved life and never met a stranger and would lend a hand to help anyone.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at The Rock Church of God at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ronald Scott, Rev. Kerry Wilkins & Rev. Jeff Locklear officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC.
