Steve Douglas Thompson, 45, of Fayetteville, NC, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Thompson, and his mother, Rosie Bell Hunt Fisher.

He is survived by his step-sister, Jeannette Hunt Voncannon and husband Ricky of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Austin Cain of Hope Mills, NC; a sister, Dianna Thompson Jarry of Lumberton, NC; his fiancée, Bonnie Hall of the home; his stepchildren: Megan Hall and fiancé Art Carter, Michael Hall, Henry Hall, and Jacob Hall, all of Fayetteville, NC; and his grandsons: Nicholas Hall and Nathaniel Hall, both of the home.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.
