Stephen Russell Lewis age 61 formerly of Barnesville, NC died Saturday June 15, 2013 at his home in Hendersonville, NC. He was a graduate of UNC Pembroke and received his Master's Degree from UNC Chapel Hill, degree in social work, council of aging. He was a team leader inspecting extended care facilities. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday June, 19, 2013 at Community Cemetery in Barnesville, NC with Pastor John Spence officiating. He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Lewis and his mother, Ruth Rogers Lewis, his brothers Mickey J. Lewis, and Robert Sheriel Lewis. Surviving are three sisters, Nora Hemby and her husband Ray of Little River, SC, Carol Page and her husband Wayne of Lake View, SC, and Jean Lushis of Clayton, NC; four brothers, William Thomas Lewis and his wife Janet of Florence, SC, Richard V. Lewis and his wife Bobbie of Barnesville, NC, Charles P. Lewis and his wife Edna of Whiteville, NC, and John R. Lewis and his wife Dorothy of Fairmont, NC and many great nephews and great nieces and nieces and nephews.
