Mr. Stanley Freeman, age 65 of Fairmont passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 3:00PM at New Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Ricky Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7-9PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Mr. Freeman was born April 1, 1949 in Robeson County, NC. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and also served 20 years in the Robeson Tech Maintenance Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, MD Freeman and Bertha Hunt Freeman; his wife, Betty Oxendine Freeman; two sisters, Lucy Edwards and Lula Mae Jones; and six brothers, Herbert H., Hezekiah, Alfred, Jessie, Joseph "Joe" Freeman, and Bruce Bryant. He is survived by one son, Eric Locklear and wife Beth of Virginia; one daughter, Michelle Freeman and boyfriend Kevin of Parkton; four brothers, James Ray Hunt, and Homer Freeman, both of Lumberton, MD Freeman Jr. and Ben Freeman, both of Fairmont; one sister, Anna Belle Freeman of Fairmont; three grandchildren, Joshua Freeman, Sierra and Yanti Locklear; and two special nephews, Verdell and Phillip Freeman, both of Fairmont.
