Smithie Cox's Obituary
Mrs. Smithie Edge Cox, age 82, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015, at her home. She was born in Robeson County on June 25, 1933 to the late Andrew and Nora Edge.
She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Pamela Cox.
Mrs. Smithie is survived by her husband, Billy Cox of the home; three sons: David Cox, Charles Cox, and Wallace Cox, all of Lumberton; three daughters: Gloria Barnes, Dianne Russ, and Beth Britt, all of Lumberton; one brother, Watis Edge of Calabash; one sister, Nealy Bryant of Lumberton; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A time of visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Charles Brust and Rev. James Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at Rozier Family Cemetery.
