Mr. S.J. "Jack" Oxendine age 74, of Rowland, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 3:00PM at Annease Drive Praise and Worship Center in Rowland, NC with Revs. Steve Strickland and Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in Benson Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, from 1:00-3:00PM prior to the service at the church.

He was born July 11, 1941 in Scotland County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Martha Oxendine; brothers, Henry Lee, Brisco, Earl and Dattery Oxendine; two daughters, Chris Sampson and Michelle Oxendine; sons, James Larry, James Howard and James Oxendine.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Alice Oxendine of the home; seven daughters, Stacie, Courtney, and Solita Oxendine of all Rowland, Karen Oxendine-Cobbs of Texas, Nicole Oxendine of Maxton, Darlene Seay of Fayetteville and Annette Oxendine of Hickory; two sons, Keith Oxendine of Hope Mills and Kenny Ray Oxendine of Lumberton; two sisters, Cricket Oxendine and Velma Clagg; four brothers, Junior, Leonard, Gregory and Billy Oxendine and several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; special friends, Bill Chavis, Gloias Jacobs and N.A. Hunt.
