Sherry Inman Thompson, age 75, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026.

She was born in Robeson County on August 11, 1951, to the late Grady Inman and Evelyn Barefoot.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Inman.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Terry Eugene Tompson of the home; one daughter, Elaine Williamson (Scott) of Cerro Gordo, NC; two brothers, Carlton Inman (Pat) and W.C. Inman; five sisters, Mary Horne, Glenda Ward (Jimmy), Janet Howell (Pete), Daryl Wilkins (Jimmy), and Patricia Jones; one grandchild, Tanner Williamson; two cousins, Dennis Inman (Robin) and Kathleen Townsend and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th St. Lumberton, NC 28358.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC, officiated by Rev. Trenton Ford.
