Sherry Denise Bass Skipper, age 62, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at Novant Health New Hanover in Wilmington, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 27, 1961, to the late Woodrow Allen Bass and the late Sarah Walters Bass.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robbie Allen Bass.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Ransom (Travis); her grandchildren: Travis Ransom, Jr., Emory Ransom, Landon Ransom, and Caison Ransom; her brother, Timmy Bass (Carla); and her sister-in-law, Cindy Bass.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Tyner and Rev. Chuck Williams officiating.
