Sherry Ann Pate, age 68, of Pembroke, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2023, at Pembroke Assisted Living Center. She was born on April 13, 1955 in Robeson County, NC to the late William Edward Pate and Delia J. Deese-Pate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Denise Pate Vega, and her brothers-in-law, Anker Ole Bell, Sr. and Bruce Locklear.

Ms. Pate earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and used her degree to enjoy a career as an office administrator at a local insurance business and University Sportswear, Inc. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt to her family.

She is survived by three brothers: Virgil Lowry (wife Lena Bell), Gary Edward Pate, and Terry Dale Pate; four sisters: Sandra Faye Pate Bell, Mary Juanita Pate Hardin (husband Elwood), Deloris Kaye Pate Oxendine (husband George), and Debra Sue Pate Locklear; a brother-in-law, Fernando Vega; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends will also miss her dearly.

A private family gathering is planned to honor the life of Ms. Pate.
