Sherrill Tolar Stone, age 86, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on August 1, 1930 to the late Ira Stancil and Maude Pittman Tolar.  She was previously employed at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, I.L. Stone; a sister, Betty Hardin; and a great-grandchild, Noelle Hester.

Mrs. Stone is survived by daughters, Addie Lynne Williamson of Pembroke and Dianne Stone of Goldsboro; a sister, Madeline Martin of Lumberton; grandchildren, David Hester, Jonathan Hester, and Allison Scott; and seven great-grandchildren.

A time for visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
