Sarah Jean Rogers Lewis, age 89, of Fairmont passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

She was a former employee of the Childhood Development Center in Fairmont.

She was born August 28, 1931 in Robson County to the late James Gordon Rogers and Beulah Paul Rogers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett French Lewis; one brother, John Robert "Bob" Rogers; and two sisters, Beulah M. Rogers and Mary Hill Rogers Branch.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Lewis Cox and husband Larry of Fairmont; two brothers James Duncan Rogers and Luther Kenneth "Bud" Rogers; two sisters, Betty R. Blackmon of Florence, SC and Linda R. Sawyer; one grandchild, Dr. Lewis W. Cox and Kristin; and two great-grandsons, Owen Michael Cox and Thomas William Cox.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 05, 2021 at 2PM at the Leggett-Lewis Cemetery in Fairmont.
