Sarah Elizabeth Meares, age 35, of Shannon, NC passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, as a result of an automobile accident. Sarah was born in Fayetteville, NC on November 20, 1989.

Sarah was employed as a home health aide where she took pride in caring for her patients. She enjoyed working as a clerk at Minuteman and Speedway convenience stores and conversing with the customers. Sarah worked as a teacher at Omega Christian Academy for four years where she taught kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. While working at Sam's Club she received an award for selling the most memberships. She loved watching NFL Football and her favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her greatest joy was her son, Caleb.

Sarah is survived by her son, Caleb Scott; parents, Rev. Thomas Ray Meares and Cathy Britt Meares; special friend, Jessie "JJ" Jacobs; John Scott, father of Caleb; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC.

A funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Rd., Lumberton, NC.
