Mrs. Sarah "Donnie" J. Jacobs, age 89, departed this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Glenflora Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NC. Mrs. Jacobs was born April 13, 1931 in Robeson County.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 1:00PM at Lumbee Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hilton Woodell, Dr. Glenn Harris, and Larry Chavis officiating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ledger Jacobs; her daughter, Rose M. Reed; and her son, Anthony "Tony" Jacobs, as well as other siblings.

She is survived by four daughters: Judith J. Hunt of Fairmont, NC, Dianna J. Maynor of Lumberton, NC, Helen J. Hunt (Aundra) of Fairmont, NC, and Sandra J. Locklear (Kip) of Lumberton, NC; one son, Samuel W. Jacobs (Maxine) of Angier, NC; thirteen grandchildren: Prentice Ann Hunt, Ledger O'Brian Jacobs, Anthony Wade Jacobs, Schannel H. Maynor, Crystal M. Jones, James Casey Reed, Chad L. Maynor, Camron Hunt, Caprice Hunt, Ataya Jacobs, Ania Jacobs, Hannah Jacobs, and Mikia Jacobs; and fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of extended family and friends, along with Vanessa Bartch and the entire staff of GlenFlora Nursing Facility.
