Sarah Frances Deese Dial, age 75, of Lumberton, NC died at Woodhaven Nursing Center on Saturday, December 19, 2009. She was born on September 3, 1934 to Welton Deese and Ceiler Stewart Deese in Robeson County, NC. She previously worked as a seamstress for Lumberton Knitwear.

She is preceded in death by her parents; by her husbands, Alfonzo Jacobs and Roscoe Dial; a brother, Slater Deese; and a grandchild, Brian Caison.

Mrs. Dial is survived by two sons, Al Junior Jacobs and wife, Junie of Lumberton, NC and Pete Jacobs and wife, Kathy of St. Pauls, NC; five daughters, Phyllis Jacobs, Mary Caison and husband, Doug, Wanda Dial and husband, Rudy, Linda Jacobs Cummings and husband, Stuart all of Lumberton, NC and Melissa Dial of St. Pauls, NC; two sisters, Estelle Scott and Barbara Rose Lowery of Lumberton, NC; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Clyde Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
