Sara Catherine Stafford, 91, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at Harborview in Lumberton.

She loved being with her children, all her grands and great-grands, traveling, square dancing, reading, and singing in the church choir at Cedar Grove Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rowland Edward Musselwhite and Sara Catherine Graham; husband, Albert "Jerry" Stafford; a son, Rowland "Ras" Stafford; sisters, Louise Gunter, Nellie Stanley, Frances Guy, and Betty Balance; and brothers, Wallace Musselwhite, Shelby Musselwhite, Graham Musselwhite, Jerry Musselwhite, and R.E. Musselwhite.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Stafford (Robyn) of Cape Carteret, NC, and Andy Stafford (Katie) of Bonner Springs, KS; two daughters, Cathy Willoughby and Vickie Prevatte (Bayne), all of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren, Katie, Crystal, Alex, Brittany, John, Jamison, Tori, Brady, and Graysan; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

The funeral will be 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Sharon Long, Shirley Parker, Betty Swett, and Ronald Taylor for their love and support to Catherine through the years, as well as the staff at Harborview for their excellent care to Catherine.
