Mrs. Sara Lee Scott Huggins, age 95, Lumberton, NC, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2020. Sara Huggins was born August 31, 1924 in Lumberton, NC, the daughter of the late Douglas and Lula Scott. She was an active member of Raft Swamp Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Huggins; a daughter, Jean Huggins Rogers; a great-granddaughter, Cassandra Jade Wilkins; four sisters: Florence Liles, Annie Mae Brock, Elizabeth Kinlaw and Velma McLaughlin; a brother, Douglas Arvell Scott; and two sons-in-law, Ed Nelson and Bill Ash.

She is survived by her children: Robert Gerald Huggins (Debbie) of Riesel, TX, Sara Ann Rogers (Carl) of Orrum, NC, Diane Ash of Lumberton, NC, Roy Lee Huggins (Wanda) of Lumberton, NC, and Faye Taylor (James) of McDonald, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Gerald W. Huggins (Nereyda), Melissa Huggins, Mark Nelson (Kim), Mike Nelson (Krista), Michael Lee Nelson (Beth), Roger Wilkins (Jenny), Crystal Rogers, Benton Rogers (Erica), Amy T. Johnson (Zachary), Andrew Taylor (Ashley), and Haley Huggins;  along with 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
