Sara "Mae" Hardee, age 72, of Lumberton, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on July 25, 1952 to the late Jeff and Sarah Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Donald "Don" J. Hardee; three brothers, Arthur Johnson of Turbeville, SC, Arvin "Pat" Johnson,  of Olanta, SC, and Lee Von Johnson from Germanton, NC; and sisters, Louise Welch of Sumter, SC and Betty Ratley of Lumberton, NC.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Johnson of N. Charleston, SC; sisters, Myrtle Britt and Kathleen Britt, both of Lumberton, NC, Brenda Griffis (Danny) of Greenville, NC, and Deane Batten of Tabor City, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
