Sara Lovin Freeman, age 87, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 29, 1938 to the late Thomas Everette Lovin, Sr. and the late Annie Stephens Lovin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Earl Freeman, Sr.; three brothers, Thomas Everette Lovin, Jr., Archie Lovin and Bristoe "Toy" Lovin; one sister, Anne McNabb and her great-grandson, Isaac Freeman.

Sara is survived by two loving sons, Al Freeman (Donna) and Andy Freeman (Connie), all of Lumberton; her brother, Alton Lovin of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Heath Freeman (Anna), Alex Freeman (Paige), Heather Freeman and Sara Katherine Thompson (Justin) and three great-grandchildren, Lila, Lilly and Johnny Cole "J.C.".

A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 10:00-11:00AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tony Ward officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
