Ms. Sara Walters Bass, age 83, of Fairmont, NC passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Carlton of Lumberton, NC.

Ms. Bass was born October 7, 1939 in Robeson County, NC to the late Robert Walters and the late Bertha Hayes Walters

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Allen Bass; a son, Robbie Allen Bass; two brothers, Roger Walters and Guthrie Walters; and two sisters Margaret Richardson and Geraldine Ivey.

Ms. Bass is survived by one son, Timmy Bass (Carla), of Fairmont, NC; one daughter, Sherry Skipper of the home; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Bass of Fairmont, NC; three brothers, Lacy Walters, (Belinda) of Charlotte, NC, Ronald Walters of Gastonia, NC, and Paul Walters of Dillon, SC; and one sister, Betty Rose Kirby of Mullins, SC; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 2:00-3:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow in the chapel at 3:00PM. Burial will be private.
