Sandra "Sandy" Locklear, age 54, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest and reward on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Southeastern Health in Lumberton with family by her side. She was born in Robeson County on April 20, 1962. She was formerly employed as an inspector for Kayser-Roth Corporation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Wade & Marie Locklear.

She is survived by 2 sons: Bradley Wade Oxendine and Alex Oxendine, both of the home; 3 brothers: Larry R. "Buck" Locklear of Fairmont, Charlie Wade "Joe" Locklear, Jr. and wife Cindy of Lumberton, Phillip Greg Locklear of the home; 4 sisters: Betty R. Burke and husband Buster, Gwyn "Dian" Lambert, Jerrie Chavis, and Jackie L. Emanuel and husband Bill, all of Lumberton; and many nieces, nephews, & other extended family members.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Friday, August 19, 2016, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Smyrna Baptist Church.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM with Pastor Carl Pevia & Rev. Roosevelt Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
