Sandra Valas Lee, age 66, of Largo, FL and formerly of Lumberton, NC passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on October 29, 1947 to the late George and Juanita Sanders Valas. She previously worked in textiles for the Outer Banks Company. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Lee. Mrs. Lee is survived by her sons, Grady Lee and wife Cameron of Fayetteville and James Tadlock of Pensacola, FL; a daughter, Jamie Laux and husband Steven of Charlotte; a brother, Jim Valas and wife Diane of Morehead City; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
