Sam Liles, Sr., age 85, of Lumberton passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 7, 1929 to the late George and Mary Britt Liles. He was a veteran of the United States Army and previously worked as a repairman for Town & Country Radiator. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Liles and a son, Charles Liles. Mr. Liles is survived by his sons, Sam Liles, Jr. and wife, Diane of Lumberton and George Edward Liles and wife, Chris also of Lumberton; daughter-in-law, Annette Liles; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating.
