Mrs. Sally McLean Horne, 66, of Orrum, died Sunday, April 11, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Horne is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, Gene, of Orrum, and twin sisters, Mrs. Lee McLean Gram and Mrs. Lauren McLean Allred (and husband, David), all of Fayetteville; a niece, Dr. Cameron Gram Anderson (and husband, Chris) and two nephews, Dr. Charles Cameron Allred, and Bennett McLean Allred; and two great-nieces, Mary Bennett Anderson, and Elizabeth Jane Anderson; and a great-nephew, Harper David Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Robert Cameron McLean and Mary Waring McLean. She was a lifetime faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lumberton and the Johnny Wishart Sunday School Class. After earning a Masters degree in Elementary Education, Sally retired after thirty-four years of teaching. She was awarded Teacher of the Year, and was known for being extremely detailed and organized. She was a former member of the Phi Delta Kappa and the Lady Civinettes. Sally enjoyed traveling, and after her trips to England, she became obsessed with British history and the Royal family. Sally was a caring and selfless person. She cared more about her family than she cared about herself. Family members could always rely on her photographic memory of facts, dates, events, and people. She had a good sense of humor and always made people laugh. A special thanks to: Southeastern Hospice, and the support of many friends and relatives.
