Sadie Lee Stone (101) born August 28, 1912 of Lumberton went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2013. She was involved in farming in the Long Branch community for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Palmer Stone. Her parents were Richard and Emma Lee. Her family that will forever cherish the wonderful memories are her children, Cecil Stone of Chapel Hill, Clifton and wife Vivian of Lumberton and Alice Stone Ivey of Orrum. Blessed to join in the memories are grandsons, Arren Stone and wife Diane, Donald Stone and wife Debbie of Lumberton, Johnny Ivey and wife Marilyn of Charlotte, and Steven Stone and wife Debbie of Ayden. In addition to these are 10 grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren, and 18 great-great-great grandchildren; special friend Gail Sealey Fields; sisters are Mae Fipps, Naomi Conley and Lanier Speights of Lumberton. A visitation with the family will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. from 6:00 until 7:00 PM. At 7:00 PM the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Broadwell officiating. The burial will be at Gardens of Faith Cemetery on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
