Sadie Jordan Pittman, age 89, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. She was born in Hoke County on October 27, 1925 to the late Eddie and Sinabell Stephens Jordan. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Pittman, and a sister, Thelma Williams. She is survived by four sons, Dennis H. English of Williston, TN, Charles M. English of Parkton, NC, Ronnie B. English of Fayetteville, and Bennie M. English of Fayetteville, two daughters, Geraldine Mayes and Brenda Bullock, both of Lumberton, a sister, Eva Davis of Parkton, NC, twenty grandchildren, and twenty-one grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Chip Bass officiating. A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:00-2:00 PM, also in the chapel.
