In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wade Junior, Welton, Gerald Wayne, Jim Bartley, and Jerry Bartley; sisters, Arminda Oxendine, Lucy Bartley, Linda Branch, and Sheila B. Lewis; and a granddaughter, Taylor Samone Lowery.

Ruthie Jane is survived by two sons, Tommy Lin Lowery (Amanda) of Fayetteville, NC, and Sterling "Buddy" Lowery, Jr. (Glois) of Fairmont, NC; two daughters, Carolyn White (Ed) of Eastover, NC and Vanessa Lambert of Fairmont, NC; ten brothers, Burney Bartley, Donald Ray Bartley (Pam), Terry Bartley (Kelly) and Sammy D. Bartley all of Fairmont, NC, Kenny Bartley (Dot) of Moyock, NC,  Glen Ray Bartley (Trena) of Pensacola, Fla. Billy M. Hunt of Pembroke, NC, Rev. Jimmy Lynn Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Norman Hunt of Va. Beach, Va. and Jimmy Ray Hunt of Dillon, SC; nine sisters, Dollie Ann Hunt and Adloise Bell both of Fairmont, NC, Rosie Lee Hunt of St. Pauls, NC,  Arnetha Lacy of Lumberton, NC, Carol Ann Hunt of Saddletree, NC, Brenda Ratliff of Appalachian, Va., Louise Jacobs of Charlotte, NC, Helen Oxendine of Proctorville, NC and Arlene Hunt of Rowland, NC; six grandchildren, Jamal, Jada, Amber, Craig, Kamiyah, and Tanner; eight great-grandchildren, Sekani, Londyn, Kayden, Zamiyah, Ayden, Emery, Colston, and Kalani and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00-2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
