Mrs. Ruth Inman Stone, age 98, of Mooresville, formerly of Greensboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by her family, at Summit Place of Mooresville.  She was born in on April 4, 1925 in Robeson County, NC to the late Huey Inman and the late Annie Prevatte Inman.

She and her husband owned a tire store and were very involved in their community.  They were charter members and supporters of Lawndale Baptist Church.  Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother and aunt.  She was loving, generous and dedicated to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Morphis Stone, Sr; her son, Allen Morphis Stone, Jr.; her siblings, Harlie Inman, Andrew Inman, Grace Inman and Bonnie Inman Rhodes.

She is survived by her son, Richard W. Brown (Alma) of Mooresville, NC; two grandchildren, Richie and Heather and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1:00PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
