Mrs. Ruth Dexter Jackson, age 74, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton, NC. She was born on July 5, 1946 to the late Glen and Sylvia Dalton Dexter.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Dexter and Donald Dexter, and four sisters: Naomi Fortner, Josephine King, Wanda Shuman, and Gaynelle Spence.

She is survived by her husband, Roy G. Jackson of the home; her children, Roy Stanley Jackson and wife Cissy and Patricia Barnes and husband Richard, all of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: Christina Barnes (Andrew), Jason Barnes, Ethan Jackson (Brandi), and Selena Jackson; and a brother, Mark Dexter of Rocky Mount, VA.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Chaplain Jimmy Hunt officiating.

Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.

The family will also be receiving friends at other times at the home of Patricia & Richard Barnes, 407 W. 36 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.
