Ruth Hayes Dowless, 82, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born on December 19, 1926 to Austin Hayes and Dora Bright in Robeson County, NC. Mrs. Dowless worked at Rose\\chr(39)s as a Department Manager.

Mrs. Dowless is survived by her husband, Earl Dowless of the home; two sons, Larry Dowless of Lumberton and Bob Dowless of Concord, NC; one sister Doretha of Fayetteville, NC; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a Graveside Service held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton with the Reverend Dennis Harrell officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
