Obituary

Russ Barnes Thorndyke, age 52, of Orrum, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 7, 1970.

He is survived by his parents, Sammy and Laura Ann Thorndyke, of Orrum; his children, Jonathan Corbett (McKenna) of Hampstead, Lauren Thorndyke and Austin Thorndyke, both of Lumberton; one brother, Sandy Thorndyke (Cindy) of Lumberton; one granddaughter, Laney Corbett; his nieces and nephews, Christa Willoughby (Justin), Seth Thorndyke (Amber and Levi), Colby Thorndyke, Garret Smith and Jordan Smith, all of Lumberton;  the mother of his children, Christy Thorndyke of Lumberton and his special pet, Chloe.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00PM at Bloomingdale Baptist Church, 1758 Bloomingdale Road, Orrum.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
