Rufus Rodriguez Sandoval, Jr., age 54, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born on March 20, 1967 in Cumberland County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Uyon Hunt Sandoval.

He is survived by his father, Rufus Sandoval, Sr. of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Lena Franks and husband Kendrick Jerald of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Donald Ray Sandoval and wife Beth of McAlester, OK; four grandchildren: Kingston, Kaden, Karson, and Kollin; a best friend, Colonel Holmes and wife Bessie of McDonald, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel.

Burial will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 3047 E. McDonald Road in Fairmont, NC.
