Rufus Gerald Britt, age 81, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at his home. He was born January 30, 1936 in Robeson County to the late V.C. Britt, Sr. and Nettie Pridgen Britt. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Dale Britt of the home; one daughter, Audrey (William); two grandchildren: Brittany (Josh) and Geri; one great-grandchild, Jebson; and one brother, Virgil.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with Rev. Michael Longson officiating. Burial will follow at Britt Family Cemetery in Orrum.
