Rucious "Skinner" Hunt, age 85 of Lumberton passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 3:00pm at Burnt Swamp Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Burnt Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7;00-9:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Mr. Hunt was born June 27, 1932 in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Braxton and Mary Etta Hunt; his wife, Geraldine Locklear Hunt; several brothers and sisters and a twin brother, Lucious "Buck" Hunt.

Mr. Hunt severed in the Korean War and retired from the North Carolina Dept. of Corrections.

He is survived by five sons, Tony Hunt of South Dakota, Bryan Hunt of Pembroke, Patrick Hunt of Concord, Marlon Hunt and Ben Hunt both of Rowland; a brother, Charles Hunt of Rowland; three sisters, Evelyn Jacobs of Lumberton, Coleda Ransom of Rowland and Lena Oxendine of Wilmington; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
